Yinxi Xie

Welcome! I am a visiting research economist at the IMF, focusing on macroeconomics and international finance. I will join the Department of Economics at Indiana University, Bloomington, in the fall of 2025. 

I'm also a regular visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and serve as an associate editor for the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Previously, I was a senior economist at the Central Bank of Canada.

My current research explores various topics in monetary economics, especially those linked to monetary-fiscal policy, behavioral macro, macro-finance, and production networks.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in 2020.
